$1 / $2 Live game

graven29 04-02-2006, 4:28 PM
Table has 10 players
sitting in BB with $93 or so - UTG has me covered.
UTG raises $5 to $7. 2 callers in the middle - SB folds
I look down to find 2d 3d, and I call
The whole table is very loose.

Flop comes 8d Jd and 5c
I check.
UTG bets $10
1 call and one fold
I call.

Turn is the 6d
I check
UTG bets $10
1 fold
It's back to me.
What bet - and what would I rather - a call or a fold?

Sorry e1 - this was originally in the wrong forum.

you have a 23 dimonds and you called the flop becasue you are looking for a flush right? well there you go you made your flush, why would you fold? You have the weakest flush ut a flush none the less so you reraise the strenght of the hand doesn't really matter you want to represent the flush and maybe another weak flush will fold.

You have to bet $40 at least (thats the pot i think) and its a judgement call by you if you push the rest of your stack in if he reraises you. You don't have much more after this, but if he reraises you I think you fold here, however you have to make a read on the guy.

You are borderline committed with a $40 bet but I think you can still fold. He is not representing flush with that hand, so either he's bluffing by playing weak to get some callers on his nut flush or he is playing honest and representing a pair (maybe over pair) testing the flush strentgh. $10 kills the odds i think to draw for the flush unless everyone calls, so he tried to prevent people from drawing the flush i think?

I wasn't thinking I should fold - i was thinking - did i want him to fold - i was check raising him all the way. I raised to $40. And he called - rivered a 4th diamond and overflushed me, but checked it. Of course i had checked it. He had Kd Kx, but he said "i thought u had the Ace of Diamonds" - so i think to myself "If you thought i had the Ad, why did u call the turn?" But I can see him unable to get away from KK there, and i want KK to call there. He was dead to the 4th diamond. Oh well - that's poker.
