Nobody has manners online.. Well not nobody but tons of people don't care. I mean I can't blame them it's online. They'd prob be alot different if it was played in person.

Jen,

I think people are watching the pro's on tv like Phil Hellmuth doing the same thing...

I watched the professor take him out the other night with a lessor hand and he cried and cussed like a baby.

In my opinion.. this is very unprofessional and I'd never want to be like that. But I do think people see these so-called professionals act like that and they think it's acceptable or even admirable. I'm not saying Phil is not a super poker player.. His record speaks for itsself but I don't consider anyone a professional that acts this way. I think it's really sad for them to act like that on national tv or anywhere else for that matter. But on TV they are representing this game and the people that play it and I don't think that's the image we should have.

I can take a bad beat. It's part of the game. What seperates the good players from the bad is the fact that the good player won't let this bother them at all. Emotional control is one of the hardest parts of this game I think.

Attitude is paramount to our success in this game. Life has a way of giving you EXACTLY what you expect.

The table and betting patterns also are effected by attitude. I can pick up on things sometimes that one would think could only be known in a face to face game. These vibs or feelings are true more times than not. And if I can do that being as new as I am, I think most others that have played for a while can pick up on these things as well.

Just my thoughts..

I hate the whiners too, but I won't block their chat as I have caught too many people colluding via the chat box. In one tourney I was in 2 players, when in a hand together against a 3rd all-in player, would actually compare hands and chip stacks and decide who would take down the pot. "I have JJ".... "I have trips but you need the pot more".... or when in a pot heads up "You need some chips call my next bet and then bet out after the flop and I will fold"

This was at AP and AP did nothing to the other players even after I complained. In fact, APs support staff would not even vonfirm to me if that sort of behaviour was agains tthe rules as it would "violate the other players' privacy" What?

Anyways, if you dont like another players chat, note them... complain if necessary, never play them again... but I would never mute their chat.

I had a very similar incident with AP as well at the final table of a $1.00 buy in 1k guaranteed table. When it got down to 3 of us the other two players were telling each other what they had and the chipleader would raise then fold to his buddy once I was out of the pot among other things. I recorded the conversations everything they had done, tourney info and players names TBATK and DONAMIQ, and submitted all of this to AP. They even had sequential IP adresses so they were obviously together. AP did nothing but send me a standard response about how they would check it out. That was 6 months ago and I still havent received a penny more from them or any more responses, they just ignore me. I still won a decent amount in the game but it could have been more.

I dont whine anymore because I have realized it doesnt help. At first it was frustrating to lose to a hand that has called a preflop raise and every raise after to find out they had nothing till they hit the river. and I also have realized its a non-life like computer program running the show and never know when your playing a "pokerbot" and o yes they are real and out there, VP has been catching them, usually in the head to head tables. So when you get sucked out stay cool play your game and the same donkey will end up giving it back 3 fold. GO COLTS
