I think Clonie Gowen's WPT win was Ladies Night, which is a six-person invitational, so not quite in the same ballpark as winning one of the big tournaments

Rebuys are one of the most difficult tournaments to win. Main reason: they are like coral to the fish or carrots to a donkey. You encounter so many bad beats and terrible plays that its hard to do anything.... before the first break.

I tend to make an inital rebuy, and allow myself ONE rebuy and a double addon. If I bust after my rebuy I'm done. This doesn't apply to cheap forum games as I have a little fund set aside specifically for those, as some have seen lol

Everyone has their own style with rebuys, and no one style will always work. Glad to hear you got some good help out of her article
