I've been lucky enough to play at The Wynn Las Vegas.  A very nice place. Big Smile [:D]

There were probably 15 or so tables going, with Hold'em and Omaha games.  We got to see a episode of "The Daniel Negreanu Challenge" being filmed in the high roller area...

If you want to play the small blind NLHE games, this is a pretty good room.

Atlantic City - Bally's Atlantic City is ok, but Trump TAJ Mahal Poker Parlor is better. TAJ is non-smoking, which is great since I don't smoke. They've incorporated constantly updated waiting lists for tables, and they also have a poker snack bar with fair prices.

What games do they offer up there. I know that on the west coast it is hard to find thriving 7cs games and down South Omaha is still a harder table to find.  What games in Atlantic City are easist to find and what limits?

Oceans 11 has to be my favorite live casino in the San Diego area.

There are plenty of tables of live action during the day and in the evening. You will find all ranges of players here from the good to the bad, young (military/college )and mostly old (locals). I suggest some selective aggression and pick on the bad players and avoid the good ones! Just because they are old and have been playing before you were born doesn't mean they are good!

NL tables of $1-3 and $5-5 always going. Daily NL tournaments at 10am, $35 M-F, save $55 on Wed. There are normally 100-150 players for their daily tourneys, they go quick with 10 min blinds. Top 9 players pay out, normally you chop though and pay off the big stack. Oceans offers some very good food for very low price, don't eat before you go, eat there! Just ask for service and ask for a menu, you will understand.

Another favorite of mine is Viejas Casino. Although there are lots of young players that come for the Friday tournament ($14 @10am) they don't normally stay too long afterwards. NL $1-3 table there has lots of familiar faces and is relatively tough competition. If I get busted out of the tourney early I will play NL and pick on the young players until they all leave empty handed.

Although the online poker site have bonuses, brick and mortar casinos offer better incentives such as:
- jackpots on all tables all the time (normally aces full beat)
- some offer rack attacks every half hour where they add $100 bucks to a pot for one hand.
- some have daily lottery drawings - you get a ticket for every hour of play, etc
- other promotional events normally tied to hours played.

If you haven't played at a brick and mortar before start with limit holdem until you are familiar with the rules of the casino and of live play, then move on to NL. Watch what others do with their cards, their chips, what they say, etc.
Let them know you are new and they will be less hostile towards you and more helpful in understanding the intricacies of live poker.

In Vages it would have to be Place Station. Here in Mich. it would have to be Soaring Eagle.

Poker is not a card game played with people. Poker is a people game played with cards.

I keep threatening to play live, but other than freerolls designed to raise money/awareness for charity, I haven't done it yet. I was on a real roll for a while playing online in early December, and I regret not playing live then. However, when I do, it'll be in Miami, Oklahoma. They have two casinos there, and the Quapaw has two daily tourneys--I prefer tourneys to cash games--so it seems like a better fit. Only an hour past that is the Cherokee in Tulsa, which has daily morning shootout tourneys.

I live in Western Nebraska so the closest casinos are at least 4 hrs away. But my mother is addicted to playing slots so we try to go to Colorado at least once a month. I like playing holdem at The Mountain High Casino. Have played there for about 2 years now, and the dealers remember me even though I am there so infrequently. Its limit play, Colorado gaming law allows only $5 max bet, until heads up then unlimited. They also hold daily tournaments for a $60 buyin. Have made it into the money twice, 3rd and 5th place.

I live in Bc canada, they have just put up a huge casino here last year, its just great, we had smaller casino's before, but this is like a small city. Hotel, theater, a show theater. and one floor with just table games, a private room where u dont here the slot machine noise, no matter is you $1 or no limit poker. its nice and quiet and you have three restaurants to choose from and a bufet. its very cloe to the airport. and ofcourse the view of the mountains, so you can see all SNOW.

I live in Philly but my parents have a house at the Jersey shore about 10 min away from AC (oh sorry Atlantic City, NJ) so I get over there sometimes and even make some special trips just for fun occasionally. I like AC cause its not too too crowded although sometimes depending on when you go there is a wait to play tables and sometimes the limits can be real high. One thing I have found is that since I am fairly young and a female people at the table underestimate me and it actually works to my advantage. I am very excited to go to Foxwoods though an meet some people and play somewhere new!!

I am in Wisconsin we have several casinos here. Onieda in Green Bay has an ok poker room. The no limit is great late night game. The restaurant closes at midnight though. Make sure you eat before then. I look forward to going some where other than the small town casinos we have around here.

I play at Turning Stone in NY. It is not that big, but it's the closest one around for me to get to that offers Hold Em.
