Bluffing has not be my strongest play in Poker. lol Although lately I've been able to collect a few more chips by not being bluffed. lol But it is also one of the things that will improve once I become more comfortable with playing. I find it harder to bluff with people that you know like the private rooms. However in a tourney where there is no personal investment it is easier.

I agree with you byrd, about bluffing at the private tables. I do not bluff at the private tables because I am with my friends and it is more of a social thing. However out in the jungle ITS ON! I will steal a pot whenever I feel I have a chance hehe!

I did notice lastnite sitting at the weeeee table, when i drink(151 Barcardi last nite) that i do more bluffing. Don't really think this is a good time to try this as a few times i found mysefl forgetting that i was only bluffing and gave away all my chips. oops Leason learned. When im playing poker it's best to leave the drinking to the wife.
Poker is not a card game played with people. Poker is a people game played with cards.

Most of the time I only semi-bluff where I have a nice draw but im representing that I already have a strong hand. When I have absolutely nothing, I wait until everyone before me checks or puts in very weak bets or if I see someone else that always tries to steal the pot. When this type of player that tries to steal the pot multiple times I'll put them all-in and they have no choice but to fold (unless they really did have something good that time but in which case would not have tried to steal the pot). This is what seems to work best for me because these situations are not too risky and I seem to get a lot of chips this way.

depends on the buyin of the game/limits if they are low there is no reason to bluff cuz someone will call 90% of the time.

It all has to do with your strategy and presence at your table, Obviously if you seem like a tight player, and they know you will raise with good hands, you can bluff alot of them. Even betting smaller amounts and increasing them per turn would put a "slowplay" strategy, trying to outbet them on the other hand can dramaticaly decrease your chances of bluffing him. Also you shouldnt go into a pot thinking your bluffing, You should go into the pot thinking you had won this. And one more thing to note is that when you are betting a little smaller, say 4-5x the BB, that shouldnt have problems with reading his hand, obviously if he raises you its an automatic fold.
Hope I spelt Strategy properly..
