Which pro do you consider to be the best? Could it be one of today's young guns or one of the legends from yesteryear? Go ahead, tell us who you think it is and why they deserve to be called the best.

I'm a big fan of Daniel Negreanu at the moment. Classy whether he wins or loses it seems and his ability to put folks on a hand is unrivaled in my opinion.

I think what really makes Negreanu exceptional is his ability to play post flop. Not only is his ability to read other players good but his ability to define the texture of the flop as it relates to his own hand compared to his opponents possible hands truely sets him apart from most in todays poker world.

I'd go with Phil Ivey or Dan Harrington. The odd thing about Harrington is that he plays so little poker. It really is just a hobby to him. If he played as much as they other players who play every major tournament, he would be more people's answer to this question.

my vote is for Phil Ivey i think that he is cool under pressure and always(most of time)makes the right decisions wait can i vote for myself even if i;m not a pro??????????????????

The key word there is Pro I think.I would go with Ivey because he is the definition of pro.Hellmuth has to be taking out of the equation because of course he is not proffesional! LOL...Doyle Brunson has to rank way up there as well.Alot of people dont think of poker as a sport or as hard but these guys have to spend hours and hours at the table and for a guy that age to be able to do what he does is remarkable.

Is that living, young or old? Having well over 40 years around cardrooms, poker rooms, and poker games I have had the priveledge of playing and knowing some outstanding players both pro and amateur. Every player has his or her unique/style of playing.

i know my favorite pro has always been ferguson but then you have to consider the likes of ivey who is said to be the all time greatest cash game player and which is a tougher bracket to be in that is a tough question and makes you think a little there are a lot of good pros out there and they keep coming lol
