She could have followed a very successful life in academics, but instead she went with gambling, in the process receiving more recognition. Overall, she's an amazing poker pro and deserves a lot of respect. She is probably one of the best players to develop a brand as well. Put her name on it, and the people will come!    Report

I agree...her quick thinking and decisive play are definately admirable....but her overall demeanor and table precance accumulte with her looks to make her a fox. Just watch the way she handled Hellmuth in the 2004 WSOP tourney of champions to illustrate my point.    Report

She folded pocket tens preflop against Greg Raymer's KK....that's pretty amazing given Raymer's bully reputation. She said she'd saw some film on Raymer the day before and picked up a great "tell" -- man, I bet Josh Arieh and David Williams wish they'd picked up that same tell back at the 2004 final table of the WSOP!!    Report

She looked much more attractive back when she first hit the TV screen during WSOP 2003. I thought she'd taken on the weird look for that advertisment she did with Phil Hellmuth (Jerry Springer/poker spoof ad for ultimate bet). Must have decided to keep the look... yeeesh. That all black look can be attractive, but doesn't really do much for Mrs. Duke.    Report
