After the first few episodes, here are a few thoughts:
Is Jamie Gold really this big of a fish? Sheesh, he was playing ace anything, and calling down with any piece of the pot. If he didn't hit he bluffed and got called. The pro's must have a great tell on him, because he got called on most bluffs. Doyle Brunson called a big river bet from him with with just ace high and took down a good pot.
Eli Elezra has got Sammy Farha's number. Farha is down $100,000 after the first couple of episodes.
Bring on Matusow, Sheiky and Hellmuth! Those guys tend to spice things up. :)

You are so right. Jamie Gold seems to be a fluke who got incredible cards in the WSOP, and knows how to bluff and bully players around. The real test is in the High Stakes Poker, and how he'll do this season on WSOP. He also tapped out early in Poker After Dark.
Also, I'd like to see what cards the players fold preflop, because it helps me learn from the pros what cards they don't consider playable. It seems this season they're only showing the cards that are being played.

Yeah, their showing what cards the players folded kinda bugs me too. I wonder if the players requested it so as to give as little hand history as possible to other pros who watch the televised events?
