Three queens busted again

I seem to have bad luck with 3 queens. Again last night I had pocket queens, pulled the third on the flop and was busted by a flush on the river. I would have been better off to donk it by going all in from the beginning rather than trying to extract my opponents chips. I do not remember the last time I have had 3 queens and not get beat by a straight or flush. It is tough but from now on I am folding trip ladies.

Don't feel to bad, I was playing Omaha hi last night at cake and flopped the nut flush and lost to a flopped straight flush I had Ax spades and a pair of Q's and the flop was Js 10s 9s, my opponent, after a series of bets putting us both all-in turned over Qs8s xx. game over for me.

sonic69 I know what you mean about not going all in at first, was it at a table or touney, at tables you want to get the most out of it but it always gets you beat letting the donkey hang aroung in the hand and catch that river

i find that my trip queens always get busted. I also find that i loose to pocket fives more then any hand

its easy to remember the times that sets get beat because the pots are usually very large, and often the hand will break you. Thats just poker, you gotta play a set of Q's. But remember that your opponent has a hand, otherwise you wouldnt get any action. A set of q's is worthless if no-one plays with you, you are looking for those situations where your opponent is drawing to that flush or that straight. The majority of the time they will miss and you MUST make them pay. On the occasions that they make the hand, you gotta either fold when the draw gets there and they play back at you, or take your medicine if you had all the chips in before they got there. But you gotta keep playing them strong.

I say bet it big. Put a person to the test of all his chips. Why give him the opportunity to out draw you.

I played a freeroll yesterday and got trip aces twice and queens once -won the pots.

Never slap the hand that feeds you poker chips.
