I know you all know that there are more events in the WSOP besides the main event. What I wanted to know but I can't seem to find on the web, is that I heard if you win an event.. any event that you automatically get a seat in the main event. I'd appreciate any feedback if you know anything about this.

Unless you count using the prize money as a buy-in I have never heard of that

There is certain tournys that along with the prize money you get a seat in the main event.
