Well I bought Doyle Bunson's Super System and I thought it was a really good book even though I would find it hard to play the way he suggest playing in the book. I still enjoyed it. It pretty much covers all different forms of poker from 5 card draw all the way to hold em. Anybody else know a good read on poker, mainly looking for books that cover holdem?

Doyles book was ok and it gave me some decent general advice when I first started playing. I have to say tho the books that really helped my game move on, especially in tournement poker, was Harringtons 'On holdem series'. I have read the 1st 2 and I know they helped me understand different parts of the game better. I have got round to the 3rd one yet but I'm sure its as good as the other 2. I recommend you read them in order tho.

Online Ace by "Scott Ficher"
super book. It relates more to online play I think....
Let's face it.. Online play is different. This book would be great for a seasoned player transitioning to online play. It's great for a beginner also. I thought I had recognized some of the concepts in the book while playing online but I wasn't really sure until I read this book. It really re-enforced certain types of plays that one would not expect to be correct. Yet, 9 out of 10 times, they work perfect.
It would be hard to read this book and not learn something.

Small Stakes Hold'Em by Ed Miller, David Sklansky, and Mason Malmuth is one of my favorites.
I also like Sklansky's other books, like Tournament Poker for Advanced Players.
Currently reading Harrington on Hold'Em Vol. 2, the Endgame, so far it's very good.
Play poker like a pigeon was not as good as I had expected, in terms of the useful information/storytelling ratio, but maybe that's just me...
