Sucking at nolimit poker.

Blashyrkh 03-13-2006, 2:48 AM
out of the last 10 sitngo i won 4 and finished 8 in the money.(3$ and 5$)
So i thought i mightve improved my poker play.
But after trying some no limit cash games at low stakes,
i had to recognize that i completely sucked there.
Most of the time i get trapped by someone, with
some good pocket cards though.
Any advices on whats the difference between sitngo
and cash no limit games?

You need to be careful at the cash ring games. Players will call anything and will suck out on you. They know that if they lose all they have to do is pull out more money. You should have a good hand already made when you put your money into the pot. players tend to be more cautious in tournaments because once their chips are gone they are out. I try and stay away from the ring games for this reason especially the low limits.

I just recently started playing ring games again after getting some confidence by winning pretty consitently in tournaments. I can't believe the difference in my game since I started playing. I tripled my money in about 3 hours of ring playing. I didn't play it on absolute cause i think its too tight there, but still I was amazed at how many fish are out there.
